Leah Anna Sanguinetti- Director, Dance
Instructor, BA, PAEC, IADA
Leah Anna has been involved with
dance for the past 16 years as an
all-round dancer, teacher,
choreographer and studio director.
She has extensive training in jazz,
ballet, acrobatics, lyrical, modern
and musical theatre. She danced
competitively for many years and
continued her studies at Ryerson
University in the Theatre Arts Dance
program. Leah Anna has performed
professionally at various industrial
shows and large functions. Leah Anna
went on to complete a health science
degree from York University (HESO)
with Kinesiology and Dance as
teachable subjects. Over the last 10
years, Leah Anna has taught both
competitive and recreational
programs in Jazz, Acrobatics,
Ballet, Lyrical, Modern, Hip Hop and
Musical Theatre at many studios
throughout the province. She
established her own dance studio 4
years ago and has since had the
pleasure of developing over 200
students. Leah Anna is fully
certified in Jazz, Acrobatics and
Ballet through the PAEC (Performing
Arts Educators of Canada) dance
association. She also holds
certification with IADA
(International Dance Acedemy of
Adjudicators). Leah Anna has won
many awards for both her dance and
choreography talents. She hopes to
inspire, educate and guide dancers
as they reach their goals and
discovering their talents. Leah Anna
believes that dreams will come true
when you put your mind to it and
always to always believe in
yourself. Leah Anna has recently
become a new mom and this addition
to her life as well the opportunity
to work with, guide and motivate
young dancers is such a blessing! |

Crystal Sebastian Marek - Dance
Instructor
Crystal has been involved in dance
through training and teaching for
almost 20 years. She toured across
the United States in 1995 where she
performed and assisted in workshops
as a Caravan kid. As a professional
dancers, she won many overall awards
in various styles of dance. She then
went on to study with Dance Masters
of America (DMA) as well as theatre
in Seneca College. She had the
opportunity to perform various
theatre rolls as well as the star
dance roll in a music video by a
local band. Crystal is an
experienced and qualified instructor
who has taught at many dance studios
throughout Ontario. Crystal is also
CPR certified. Crystal spends most
of her personal time with her 2
children Rain and River. Her warmth
as a mother and love for helping
others will be shared with all of
her students as they grow to become
wonderful dancers. |

Shelby Thoms - Dance Instructor
Shelby started dancing at the age of
nine and since joining the
competitive team at the age of 13
has won numerous awards for her
performances all over Ontario.
Throughout her training Shelby has
been dedicated to becoming not only
the best dancer she can be but also
becoming a teacher as motivating,
inspiring and knowledgeable as the
teachers she has trained with.
Shelby hopes that she can help
instil the love for dance in her
students that has motivated her life
for many years. Being a member of
the In Harmony staff has been a true
joy for Shelby and she hopes to be a
part of the In Harmony family for
years to come. Shelby is currently
pursuing a Bachelor of Fine Arts in
dance from Ryerson University and is
excited to pass her new knowledge
and past experiences to her students
at In Harmony.

Katherine Mascarin - Dance & Fitness
Instructor
Katherine is a
graduate of the Fitness & Lifestyle
Management program at George Brown
College. She is a certified Fitness
Assessor with Oasis under CFC
(Certified Fitness Consultant). As a
part of her internship, she was a
student teacher at Cardinal Carter
High School for seven weeks in the
physical education department.
Katherine is also a certified
personal trainer with Can Fit Pro
and is CPR trained. Katherine has
danced for fifteen years training
in; Ballet, Acro, Jazz, Modern,
Lyrical and Musical Theatre. She has
coached dancers ages 3 and up for
the last five years. She danced
competitively for eight years in all
dance disciplines, winning many
awards, medals and scholarships for
her talents. Katherine’s dedication
and enthusiasm for dance and fitness
is sure to rub off on all of her
students.

Sasha
Kuyumju
- Dance Instructor
Sasha
Kuyumju began her dancing career at
the young age of three and quickly
progressed into competitive dancing
two years later. Sasha danced at
several studios in the Toronto area
finally ending at Art and Soul Dance
Company in Klienberg, Ontario,
Canada. Her extensive training in
jazz, contemporary, hip hop, tap,
steet jazz, ballet, and modern has
given her the creativity to compose
her various works. Sasha has
attended many workshops, such as the
Jump, The Next Level, Dance Teachers
Summit, and various Master Classes
with the industries top
choreographers. She has had the
privilege to travel all across
Canada and the United States to
compete in many regional and
national competitions. Sasha is
always striving to stay on top of
the new trends in dance. Sasha
began choreographing at the age of
15 and has been in love with it ever
since. Her love and passion for
dance is seen in the studio day in
and day out. Sasha is a graduate
from the Fitness and Health
Promotion program at Humber College.
She is also a certified Personal
Trainer with CanFit Pro. Sasha
is very excited to be teaching at In
Harmony Dance and Wellness this
year!

Anita
Steele
- Dance Instructor - RAD RTS, BATD
Assoc
Anita has been dancing since the age
of 5. Ballet was a particular
passion for Anita from a young age.
But all art forms, dance forms and
theatre also inspire her. Anita
studied Ballet, Jazz, Modern and
Tap, Vocal Music and Piano
throughout her childhood.
Anita graduated from Randolph
Academy of the performing Arts with
Honors, a “Triple Threat” performer.
While she was at Randolph she
performed in numerous productions.
Along with dance, Anita studied
acting, improvisation and vocal
music. Not long after graduating,
Anita’s teaching career began. She
achieved her Associate membership
with the BATD for Jazz. Then decided
her passion was in ballet and
proceeded to audition for the RAD
teaching certificate program. After
4 years of study and teaching Anita
became a registered teacher with the
RAD.
Anita also teaches Song and Dance,
and coaches audition preparation and
vocal technique. Anita works hard to
instill the joy and passion for
dance into her students. Some who
have continued on to post-secondary
programs at The National Ballet
School, Randolph Academy of the
Arts, York University Dance program,
and George Brown College. Anita’s
students have also continued on to
dance professionally with The
National Ballet of Canada, Stuttgart
Ballet, and Ballet Jorgen. And
continued on to careers in theatre.

Stephanie Vanderwouw
- Dance Instructor
Stephanie started dancing at the age
of 10 and has been part of the In
Harmony competitive team since 2007.
Stephanie has been dedicated to
becoming not only the best dancer
she can be but also becoming a
teacher. She has been an assistant
to Miss Leah Anna for a number of
years and now teaches her own
recreational classes. Stephanie
hopes that she can help her students
find the joy of dance that she had
found at a young age. Being a member
of the In Harmony staff has been a
true joy for Stephanie and hopes to
be part of the In Harmony family for years to come. |
